Nicole Spillane, MD
Dr. Nicole T. Spillane is the Associate Director of Neonatology at Hackensack University Medical Center and an Associate Professor at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. She obtained her M.D. from University of Massachusetts School of Medicine, and completed her pediatric residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital (New York, NY) and her neonatal-perinatal fellowship at New York Presbyterian-Columbia University Medical Center (New York, NY).
Her research and quality improvement focuses on neonatal resuscitation. Current studies include an innovative code cart design to improve efficiency in advanced resuscitation, delivery room management of term infants with mild respiratory distress, and use of early lung ultrasound scores to predict respiratory decompensation in late preterm infants. Dr. Nicole Spillane is the Chair of the Membership Committee for the Eastern Society for Pediatric Research, the site-PI for the DRIVE Collaborative and the SUGAR trial, a co-investigator on the multi-center NIH ECHO grant “Enriching ECHO Cohorts with High-Risk Pregnancies and Children with Disabilities”, and serves on the Board of Trustees for The Consortium for Maternal Child Health of Northern New Jersey.
