Committees

Committees serve as the heart of SPR, bringing together dedicated members to advance the Society’s mission and promote child health. Service on a committee is one of the best ways to engage with the pediatric research community, shape the Society’s direction, and contribute to meaningful initiatives.
Advocacy Committee
Leads child health advocacy efforts, representing SPR in government and public forums on issues related to the Society’s mission. The committee works to influence policy, raise awareness, and foster collaboration with other pediatric advocacy groups.
Awards Committees
Promotes scientific research excellence by recommending the recipients of the Society’s prestigious awards.
Finance Committee
Ensures the stewardship of SPR’s funds, guiding the Society’s long-term financial health and vision.
Membership & Engagement Committee
Collaborates with members to help drive member engagement, value, and strength in communications.
Justice Equity Diversity & Inclusion Committee
Enhances the diversity of SPR membership and partners with other pediatric organizations to support emerging investigators.
Organizational Partnerships Committee
Facilitates cross-disciplinary connections and knowledge sharing with regional SPR groups, US-based collaborative partners, and international organizations.
Pediatric Scientist Development Committee
Designs career development programs and resources to help pediatric scientists thrive in academic pediatrics.
